He then set about killing all those mutant and former mutants who blocked the path to Nimrod’s future. Dust sets off to find Jay, refusing an offer of help from X-23. Prodigy learns that his parents have decided he should stay at the Institute despite his power loss just moments before the news of Wallflower’s murder hits. Laurie’s friends are shocked by her sudden death and Josh is wracked with grief and anguish, which triggers an offensive aspect of his power. Stryker reveals that Jay is just bait to bring Dust to him, as she is the last one standing between him and the future vision he saw via Nimrod. The New X-Men have been killed, blown up, and absolutely decimated. Now, they’re on the offensive! But after all they’ve been through, will they have the strength to defeat their toughest enemy yet? Hey, maybe the New Avengers could help! Avengers Iron Man and Ms. Marvel are called in to investigate a trio of murders at Stryker’s church due to the clearly superhuman circumstances surrounding the deaths. Iron Man finds a weird energy signature and identifies one of the corpses as Jay Guthrie. Ms. Marvel recognizes the name and they piece together that Jay was the brother of the X-Man, Cannonball and a student at Xavier’s. Carol volunteers to break the news to the X-Men personally. At the Institute, the X-Men and ONE are dealing with the aftermath of the siege of the mansions by the Purifiers. Stryker’s death is being covered up by ONE. The New X-Men are struggling to deal with the attacks and the hatred behind it. They also have to contend with Elixir’s mental deterioration and the grief-stricken mother of their teammate, Wallflower. Ms. Marvel confers informs Cyclops of Jay’s murder as X-23 eavesdrops. Emma arrives to shoo the kids away and then proceeds to reveal Ms. Marvel’s ulterior motive for her visit: to ask for the X-Men’s support of the new Superhuman Registration Act. Emma lays into Ms. Marvel asking where the Avengers were, where she was when the X-Men and mutants needed help. She shows Carol the scene following the bus explosion, the funerals afterwards and wonders why none of the Avengers came to help the way the X-Men did in Stamford. She then shows Carol Lucinda Guthrie and asks if she wants to help break the news of her son’s death to her. Finally she shows her Quill’s body and asks if she wants to grab a shovel to help bury him. She sends Ms. Marvel away with a final warning: if this war is anything like mutantkind’s has been, then she’ll be needing a lot of shovels. Emma breaks down with grief while the New X-Men piece together the clues to Nimrod’s involvement in Stryker’s plans. The fallout from ‘X-23: Target X’ continues here! Part 3 (of 4)! Surge and Prodigy‘s initial recruitment drive for new team members is cut short by a summons from ONE due to the recent destruction of the Grind Stone Café and the disappearance of X-23 and Mercury. X-23 and Hellion have stormed the Facility to rescue Mercury. And as if Kimura and a hundred Facility agents wasn't bad enough, something is roaming the halls of the Facility... something designed to feed on mutants. Predator X is on the loose, and nothing will ever be the same for the New X-Men! Part 4 (of 4)! X-23 and Hellion encounter a small army and Kimura in their efforts to rescue Mercury. Hellion defeats Kimura but refuses to kill her, insisting to X-23 that they have to be better than their enemies. They are then attacked by several “Predator X” creatures that were created at the request of William Stryker. Stryker learned of a “mutant antichrist” who would turn the tide in mutantkind’s favor. Predator X was developed using Mercury’s skin and designed to feed exclusively on mutant blood. The Predator X creatures quickly overwhelm the two young mutants and things go from bad to worse when a fresh contingent of Facility guards surround them. At that moment, the X-Men and remaining New X-Men arrive with a ONE Sentinel and quickly make short work of the remaining Facility forces. One of the Predator X creatures survives the battle and escapes. Upon their return to the Institute, Mercury reaches out to X-23 for support while Emma Frost deals with the continuing threat of Kimura. She confronts Kimura with her abusive past and the fact that she has becoming the same kind of bullying abuser she who victimized her in her youth. Emma erases Kimura’s memories of her grandmother, the only person who ever showed her any love or kindness. She then sets her on a mission to torment those who ran the Facility, starting with the man who tortured Mercury: Dr. Harkins. With one threat eliminated, another emerges as long-time X-Men ally Amanda Sefton returns to Earth in a blazing ball of fire with an ominous warning.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1064/5512/files/marvel-comics-new-x-men-36-vf-nm-1200031509.jpg?v=1761615705
ez4-new-x-men-37
New X-Men #37 [VF/NM]

Grade: VF/NM

Note: Stock Image
Issue Number: 37
Release Date: 2007-06-01
Writer:
Artist:

“THE QUEST FOR MAGIK” – PRELUDE Superstar artist Niko Henrichon (Pride of Baghdad) joins Paco Medina for a special prelude to the New X-Men adventure of the year. It’s story time for the New X-Men, and Blindfold is spinning them a tale that will plunge the students of the Xavier Institute into a hell (or is that Limbo?) they cannot imagine. And what does this have to do with House of M and Illyana Rasputin? Everything! Mercury continues to deal with the after-effects of her imprisonment by the Facility under the watchful eyes of her friends. Elixir convinces the Stepford Cuckoos to telepathically transfer all of Hank McCoy’s scientific knowledge into his mind to help him in the expanding use of his powers. Meanwhile, the Institute kids spend an evening telling stories around the fireplace. Blindfold’s tale of a young girl abducted and corrupted by a demon lord bears a striking resemblance to the origin of the New Mutant code-named Magik. Her tale takes an ominous tone when it stops being about Illyana’s past and begins to tell the recent return of Belasco and his conquest of Limbo following the reality shift called House of M. During this period, Belasco sensed the return of his mutant protégé who was resurrected during the Scarlet Witch’s reality warp. This drove Belasco on a bloody quest across dimension to reclaim his wayward apprentice. He began by reclaiming Limbo and casting out its current ruler, Amanda Sefton. With his seat of power there re-established he has traced Illyana to those who last saw her… the students of the Xavier Institute. As Blindfold concludes her tale, Anole realizes this is no imaginary story but a warning. His realization comes moments too late as the floor opens up to swallow them.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1064/5512/files/marvel-comics-new-x-men-37-vf-nm-1200031508.jpg?v=1761615710
7o1-new-x-men-38
New X-Men #38 [VF/NM]

Grade: VF/NM

Note: Stock Image
Issue Number: 38
Release Date: 2007-07-01
Writer:
Artist:

The demon lord Belasco has pulled the Xavier Institute into Limbo, but he's not after the X-Men... he's come for the New X-Men. With their leaders cut off, most of the team captured, and a group of students thrown into the demon infested wastelands, all hope seems lost. But the kids aren't alone in Limbo... and things are about to get much, much worse. After Blindfod's scary story, the New X-Men are all doing different things. Mercury is having nightmares, Santo is with Anole and the others that heard the story, X-23 is destroying robots in the danger room, Dust is praying and Elixir and Prodigy are talking. In the background of the last few issues, Elixir had been trying to learn more so he could better use his powers. It seems as if he figured it out. Elixir touches Prodigy's eyes and they begin to work better, he no longer needs his glasses. Outside, a ONE Sentinel watches Hellion and Surge talking. As Surge is yelling at him for going off on a dangerous mission with X-23, the building behind them explodes. Hellion protects them from the initial explosion with a telekinetic shield before trying to go inside. His efforts fail and he tell Surge that there's some kind of barrier blocking him. The scene changes to show the rest of the New X-Men. They're all chained up and surrounded by goblins, trolls and other monsters but their location is unknown. The sky is red and stone building fill the background. None of the children can remember what exactly happened or how they got there, just that there was an explosion. They're also all cut off from their powers. Suddenly, Belasco appears from what looks like a green portal. He speaks to Prodigy and asks them where "she" is, but of course, he doesn't know who he's talking about. Nearby, X-23 tells one of the students capable of astral projection to fly up. Laura can see that far above them, further than normal eyes can see, the school is still there. Elixir says he can heal anyone who gets hurt, no matter how bad it is, but Laura tells him that no one will be hurt, just killed. Somewhere else, Santo and a group of younger students stand around confused. One of the kids say they're in limbo and others look to Rockslide for guidance. Blindfold says that "She" will come, but not in time. She also says that they must protect Pixie. Just then, they're all attacked by monsters. The students fight but things start to look bad. Rockslide tries to shoot his fists (despite Blindfolds warning that "It doesn't work anymore") and explodes. While everyone is distracted by this, Anole gets his arm ripped off. Before the monster can continue its attack, its head is disconnected from its body. Blindfold says, "She is here. The Darkchild is here." Behind the dead monster now stands a girl with hoofs, horns, a tail, a large, blood-covered axe, and a green demon on a chain leash. Back with Belasco and the other New X-Men, Prodigy is questioned some more. Belasco asks where Illyana Rasputin is, and when Prodigy say she's dead, Belasco rips his heart out and throws his body on the ground.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1064/5512/files/marvel-comics-new-x-men-38-vf-nm-1200031507.jpg?v=1761615718
h0z4-new-x-men-39
New X-Men #39 [VF/NM]

Grade: VF/NM

Note: Stock Image
Issue Number: 39
Release Date: 2007-08-01
Writer:
Artist:

After the shocking events of last issue, the students of the Xavier Institute take their stand against Belasco, but do they have any hope of defeating the powerful demon sorcerer? Part 1 (of 2)Tired of dead ends with current mutants, Beast turns to the family that has sired the most mutants on Earth—the Guthries. The family that produced two X-MEN and may hold the key to save the mutant race.This issue begins with a flashback to when the Institute. Matthew Risman shoots at David and the Cuckoos, but while sneaking around, his face is badly injured by Dust. Surge cradles David as he's been shot, and Dust mutters "Please forgive me."Back in the present a Purifier asks Risman if he's okay, and after he replies affirmative, the Purifier tells him that Predator X is alive, and it's hunting.The Astonishing X-Men team discuss the New X-Men, Cyclops telling the rest how well they've done since M-Day. Cyclops tells them that there are twenty-five students left at the Institute, an eighth of the mutant population. He says that they don't even know the kids, but that ends today.Next, down in the Med Lab, Beast fixes Dust's dislocated shoulder, while Pixie tells them how she's a member of the New X-Men, how she can perform a spell and that Dr. Strange said that he'd teach her more when she's eighteen. She proceeds to ask why Dust where's the burqa, commenting that she's really pretty. Nezhno interrupts correcting Pixie, and Pixie thanks him for saving her down in Limbo, but wonders why he had "a spasm". Nezhno reveals that when he activates his "powers" his strength increases, and soon the vibranium tattoos he has will no longer be able to contain his power, and he'll die. Mercury then pops in and asks the three how old they are.Anole's playing snooker, while Rockslide (lava form) bugs him asking if X-23 can chop his other arm off. He refuses and Rockslide calls him a sissy. Anole is angered by this, and just then, Mercury appears, with a question...Mercury goes to Elixir's room, to ask him how old he is. But, he tells her how he can feel all cells aging and dying, but the question is can he stop it? She walks away to go ask David how old Elixir is.Mercury knocks on Hellion's door, but suddenly the whole wall is blown back as is she. Turns out he was practicing using his TK, but he says that anything smaller than a fridge, and he can't deal with it. She asks them how old the Cuckoos are, and he replies they're really 2, and he asks why? She replies Matt Landru.In Cerebra, the Cuckoos are scanning the world, while Mercury proceeds to tell them and Hellion that the youngest mutant is probably one of them. They decide to exclude Tito, Molly Hayes, Franklin Richards and the Cuckoos from they're investigation. Then, Emma Frost opens the door, telling Mercury and Hellion to come to her office for a student-teacher meeting.Outside, Beast and Colossus are waiting for Rockslide to arrive. Suddenly, Rockslide falls out of the sky above them, Anole pushing him down into the ground. Five minutes later, and Beast asks him to fire a limb, so that he'll explode and Beast can study him. He refuses at first, but when Anole calls him sissy,, he fires a limb and explodes. Beast thanks Anole, and both take shelter behind Colossus. Beast tells Rockslide that if he can hear him, try to feel the rocks and pull him together. He does so, and Beast says that he wants to see what'd happen if he reforms if he's smashed by someone else, and Anole gladly volunteers behind himSurge goes around asking the students asking what happened to David in Limbo, and they all try to avoid it, but X-23 tells her what happened with excruciating detail.She storms off while Pixie, flies behind her, telling her that she thinks that she and David are a cute couple. Cyclops and Wolverine show up, and Cyclops tells Surge that they need to talk, while Wolverine takes Pixie with him.In Emma's office, she tries to talk to Mercury and Hellion, but they tell her that they think she's sad.Shadowcat tries to have a meeting with Elixir, but he tells her that he's thinking, and when she asks what about, he tells her a bunch of mumbo about life and death.As Wolf Cub and Loa ponder whose the youngest mutant while eating, Pixie flies past behind them, Wolverine in pursuit, cursing the unicorns that he's seeing via Pixie's dust.Most of the students are gathered in one room, wondering who the youngest mutant is. At first, it is said to be Wolf Cub, but then Mercury realizes that Indra's name isn't on the list, and then he's revealed the youngest mutant. Meanwhile, in the same room, David tries to get Surge's attention, but she keeps ignoring him. And then she jumps at Hellion, and kisses him. Everyone looks shocked, and X-23 sheathes her claws, while Rockslide tells Indra that he's dead....Back to the Purifiers, and they've planted a burqa of Sooraya's tied between two trees, and Predator X eats it, making Dust it's new target.At the Guthries, Beast and Dark Beast arrive, and Lucinda tells her kids to go and do they're homework. Beast proceeds to ask for a gene sample from her. Lewis, a son of Lucinda's goes outside, but is followed by Dark Beast. Dark Beast sees him acting as if he has super-powers, but Lewis tells him it's not a game, and tells him that he's waiting for his powers to kick in. Dark Beast tells him it ain't gonna happen, because of M-Day, but Lewis tries to remain optimistic. Dark Beast tells him it ain't gonna happen, unless he wants to try it from a different angle, offering him a small vile of liquid.Back inside, Beast explains to Lucinda the situation, but she refuses to do it.Back outside, Dark Beast tells Lewis that he has to use his powers for good, and Lewis says he will, and he'll find his brother's killers and take them to jail. Lewis tells him that he's all for it, and Dark Beast tells him to role up his sleeve.Inside, Lucinda tells Beast that she it's like waiting for her kids to be drafted into a war, and she continues to refuse. Beast tries to convince her , but then, one of the Guthrie girls come running in, telling her that Lewis is sick. Rockslide calls first shift of babysitting Indra, something Indra wasn't that happy about. Predator X continues on his way to New York. David is in his room packing away his things, and he is approached by the Stepford Cuckoos. They tell him that he only forgot what he learned when he had his powers, and they can restore the links. They continue to tell him that they wouldn't have offered if they hadn't thought his mind wasn't strong enough. He stares at a photo of the New X-Men, and he tells them to do it. Indra and Rockslide are playing on a video game, and Indra thanks Rockslide for staying with him. Suddenly Rockslide explodes, and Indra armors up. Rockslide laughs at him for being so scarred, and Indra tells him he's going to bed. Mercury goes into the girls bathroom, looking for X-23. She finds her there, and she's cut everything around her, and herself. She tells Mercury that she doesn't understand, but Mercury just quietens her, telling her everything'll be fine... Outside, Hellion is sitting on the head of a damaged Sentinel. Dust arrives to talk with him. They talk for a little, and Hellion asks if Mercury sent her? She tells her yes, and he thanks her. In Elixir's room, his skin turns from gold, to black. Match is sitting in the middle of the room, with a marshmallow over his head, saying that he hates Rockslide. Zoom out for a panel of the group from the Quest for Magik issues, sitting around Match, Rockslide roasting a marshmallow on his head, all having a campfire. They all have they're little complaints, but Rockslide says that if they're going to go down, they should all go down together. He then ruins the moment when he says that they should start bonding, shouting "Anole's gay!", and Anole scowls at him. Beast enters the room, with new bulletproof costumes for all. Surge if pouting in her room when David enters in his new costume. He tells her that he's staying, but she shouts random nasty things at him to try and get him to leave. She even goes so far as trying to punch him, but he blocks it, and puts her in a lock, and Hellion sees them through the doorway. Hellion slams him telekinetically into the ceiling, and then checks on Surge. David hits him in the face, back and face, and then tells him that he hit him with three parts of the human body that are essentially unbreakable, and he better go see Elixir about his injuries. David leaves and tells Surge that they're through. On the Astral Plane, the Astonishing team share they're thoughts about the students, Shadowcat saying that she's worried about Elixir. Back with the group, as everyone sleeps, we see Loa getting up. We see Dust, X-23 and Mercury having some sort of a slumber party, and Surge's room trashed, while David looks out a window. Loa goes to Elixir's room, and tells him that she's been thinking, and asks him if he wants to make-out. Elixir's skin suddenly turns gold again, and he says "Sure?" Cyclops tells the New X-Men that they might be the last generation of X-Men, and that if the X-Men are not there, Prodigy will fill in as a substitute teacher. He asks Surge if this is okay, and she says fine. Predator X is approaching the Institute, but turns and head somewhere else. Matthew Risman shouts at the screen, but a Purifier tells him that maybe it's found a new target. Risman realises what this means, and tells the Purifiers that they have much more to do. There's a pin-up in the back of the issue to fill in for the missing Endangered Species tie-in. It was a pin-up by Bryan Hitch of Mercury, X-23 and Surge.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1064/5512/files/marvel-comics-new-x-men-43-vf-nm-1200031502.jpg?v=1761615593
oho7-new-x-men-44
New X-Men #44 [VF/NM]

Grade: VF/NM

Note: Stock Image
Issue Number: 44
Release Date: 2008-01-01
Writer:
Artist:

The New X-Men have been ordered to remain at the mansion while the more experienced teams search for the abducted mutant baby. But the last generation of mutants isn’t content on the sidelines, launching a sneak attack on the Purifiers instead. But have they confronted an enemy that’s out of their league?In the Canadian Rockies, Predator X comes across and feasts on another (unnamed) mutant.At the Xavier Institute, the Surge is fuming over not being involved in the current events. She has just discovered that the Purifiers were involved in the massacre in Alaska and is venting to Prodigy and Hellion. Professor X overhears her rants and tells her that Cyclops had his reasons not to tell them. He then says that he has trained mutants in the past and would like to help train them. Nori goes off on him asking where was he when they were getting killed. She storms off saying that there isn't anything he can teach them. They already know how to die.In Dallas, Texas, Forge tells Scott that Jamie is still unconscious but his brain functions are working overtime. He asks if perhaps Emma could come and find out what's going on in Jamie's head. Scott hesitates and says that she is unavailable. Scott seems ready to sacrifice Jamie's life for the possible information they can gather. When Forge calls him on this, Scott simply says that mutants are about to become extinct. All their lives are at risk.Back at the mansion, Nori is talking to the rest of her team about her plans to go after the Purifiers. She says she doesn't care what Cyclops says. It was their friends that were killed and they were the ones that took down the Purifiers. If they have the infant mutant, they will simply kill it. She wants to take out the Purifiers, permanently. She asks who is with her. Hellion, Mercury, Rockslide, Anole, and Pixie all agree, but most simply want to save the baby, not kill anyone. Dust says they've seen too much blood lately. Elixir says if he goes, he'll kill every single one of them so he'll stay behind. Armor walks in and says that she'll go with them.In Antarctica, the X-Men are about to enter the Marauders' base. Nightcrawler has reported that they are indeed inside.In Washington, Rictor (under the disguise of a mutant hating human called Jake) is taken to the Purifiers' church. He finds out that there are hundreds of churches with members all over the world. He is able to overhear that they do not have the baby in their possession. It is referred to as the Antichrist. They have men in every town within a hundred mile radius of where it was born searching for it. Rictor is pleased to hear that they do not have it. His mission can be over now. Then he sees their newest allies.In the future, eighty years from now, Jamie's dupe and Layla Miller finally arrive in New York City. When they arrived in the future, they were in Texas (where they left the present). There has been no signs of mutants. Layla's powers don't work but she says she still has her common sense powers. They go to a library to find out what is going on with the mutants. To their shock, they find out that there is a mutant relocation camp, heavily guarded in Brooklyn.Back in the present, the kids arrive in Washington. They work their way in, taking out Purifiers as they go. At the mansion, Elixir tries comforting Prodigy and Dust, saying that Nori will have things under control.In Antarctica, Sinister prepares the Marauders and Acolytes to move out. He says that Cyclops will have figured out where they are soon. He wants to take on the X-Men on his terms. Scalphunter notices that Harpoon is missing. When he asks about him, Harpoon is sent smashing through the wall at them. The X-Men are there. Wolverine tells them they are there for the baby and Rogue. He asks how many of them have to die before they get them.In Washington, Rictor comes across Anole. He asks what are they doing there and tells them that the baby isn't there. The rest are fighting the Purifiers. Things seem to be going well until Hellion is stabbed multiple times from behind. Lady Deathstrike and the Reavers are there joining the side of the Purifiers.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1064/5512/files/marvel-comics-new-x-men-44-vf-nm-1200031501.jpg?v=1761615587
doch-new-x-men-45
New X-Men #45 [VF/NM]

Grade: VF/NM

Note: Stock Image
Issue Number: 45
Release Date: 2008-02-01
Writer:
Artist:

OverviewMESSIAH COMPLEX Part 8A three way melee erupts over the baby! Some want to kill it, some want to save it, and when the dust settles, not everyone is left standing. Meanwhile, Layla Miller and Madrox gather clues while Madrox Prime slips deeper into his coma.Plus another mutant dies!In Alberta, Canada, Cable and the baby stand before Lady Deathstrike and her Reavers. Cable asks her why she even cares about the baby or the Purifiers plans. She tells him that William Stryker told her he would need here twice, once while he was alive and once after his death. He told her about a mutant antichrist after his death and asked her to kill it. She simply wants to fulfill her vow to him. Before she can strike at Cable, the new X-Force arrives and begins attacking the Reavers.In the future, the Madrox dupe and Layla are brought inside the Mutant Relocation Camp. They are about to be "processed."In Alberta, it's a vicious battle as X-Force does not hold back. Cable uses the battle as an opportunity to escape. Wolverine tries chasing after him only to be interrupted by Lady Deathstrike. She blathers on that he is now going to die because he chose to get involved in this. He dismisses her, saying he doesn't have time for her. He hands her over to X-23. X-23 introduces herself with a pair of claws.In New York, Predator X can sense more mutants are nearby...At the Xavier Institute, the X-people are recovering from the Sentinel attack. Surge is being hard on herself for trying to attack the Purifiers. Emma tells her that if they stayed at the mansion, they might have all died. She says the main thing is they survived. She tells her you survive an incident the first time and make sure it does not happen a second time. She also tells Surge that she was chosen to lead them because she would protect them from anything no matter what. Now it's time for her to that.Scott is assembling more X-members to back up Wolverine when he gets the baby from Cable. They are to leave immediately.Lady Deathstrike is not happy that Wolverine left her with a "child" to fight. She is insulted and is simply ripping away at Laura. She notices that she is not even fighting back. X-23 tells her that she was just listening and delivers a kick to the back of her shoulder. Lady Deathstrike tells her it was pathetic since she didn't even draw blood. She soon sees that the attack was on her cybernetics. She can no longer mover her right arm. Now X-23 will show her just what she can do.Wolverine and Warpath are still trying to chase after Cable. A Reaver gets Warpath in his sites and shoots at his back. Caliban jumps in and takes three shots to the chest. Shocked and outraged, Warpath throws one of his blades right in the middle of the Reavers face. Wolverine yells at Warpath to stay on Cable but he goes to see how Caliban is doing.Lady Deathstrike isn't doing so well either. When she is finally down, X-23 tells her she was dead the second that she touched Hellion.Wolverine is almost on top of Cable but then notices that he had backtracked for some reason. The X-Men vs. The Marauders vs. X-Force vs. The Acolytes vs. New X-Men vs. Predator X. Will the victor get the spoils and claim the baby? Whatever the outcome, the future of mutantkind begins here!Three hours before the events in X-Factor 27 on Muir Island, Mystique and Mr. Sinister look over Rogue's comatose body. Mystique is saddened that Rogue is dying and nothing can be done to prevent that. Sinister confirms this. Mystique does the unthinkable. She grabs Sinister from behind and pushes his face against Rogue's. Her death touch is instant. Sinister's face begins to crack and he collapses to the floor. Gambit arrives with the baby mutant and is surprised to see Sinister lying on the floor. He can't believe that he is finally free from the debt he owes him. That is when the X-Men (and "X-Force") arrive.The battle is fierce. Wolverine gets shot in the eye. As he starts to get up, Scrambler grabs him and begins to use his powers on him. Before he can get far, X-23 jumps in, chastises Wolverine for healing too slow, and slices off Scrambler's hands. Sunspot hits Wolfsbane with fire. Scalphunter sets his sites on Hepzibah only to get a blade thrown into his shoulder, courtesy of Warpath. Mystique pulls the knife out and tells him that Sinister needs more time with the baby. They have to do whatever it takes to hold off the X-Men. Just then, more X-Men arrive.Back inside, Mystique and Gambit prepare to try to save Rogue. Gambit tells her that the only reason he's stayed with Sinister and the Marauders is because he believes in Mystique's love for Rogue. Mystique tells him she knows the baby will save Rogue. Destiny saw them in that room with the baby in a vision. Everything Mystique has done has lead up to this moment. Not really sure what she's supposed to do, Mystique touches the baby's forehead to Rogue's lips.Meanwhile back at the Xavier Institute, Predator X is preparing to feast on the "new" X-Men. Rockslide tries to hold it off while the other younger students watch from inside. Predator X smashes through the window and is about to eat Indra when Surge jumps in and hits it with her powers. She tells him to get everyone to the infirmary.On Muir Island, Riptide is about the snap (an unconscious) Wolfsbane's neck. He is taken care of by Professor X. They prepare to find the baby. Down below, there is a huge flash of light from the baby's touch on Rogue. Gambit can't sit back and let the baby die so he pulls them away from Rogue. He knows Rogue wouldn't want to be saved at the cost of the life of an infant. Expecting to see the same thing happen to the baby that happened to Sinister, Gambit is surprised to see that the baby is fine. Mystique looks at Rogue but she is still in a coma. She falls to her knees, not understanding since Destiny's diaries said this would help. She thought saving her would make Rogue love her again. Gambit says she'd rather die than allow her to harm a baby. Gambit said he'd do the same. Professor X walks in just at that moment and is happy to hear Gambit say that.The fight continues up top. Professor X tells Cable he has the baby. He asks Gambit what he's going to do now. Gambit says he's going to stay where he belongs, by Rogue's side.The fight for survival at the Xavier Institute doesn't look to be going well. It is soon brought to the infirmary. Nightcrawler is finally awake to see the kids fighting Predator X. He says he can't teleport everyone away. Pixie mentions that X-23 killed one of these Predators before and she can teleport it to her. Before anyone can stop her, she takes them all to Muir Island. Vertigo is the unlucky one to get chomped by Predator X.Professor X hands off the baby to Cable and tells him to escape into the future while he helps the X-Men. Before Cable gets far, Bishop shows up saying the child will die right there, right now. Cable is ready for Bishop this time but seeing a hungry Predator X waiting for them is another story...To be CONCLUDED in X-Men#207!
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1064/5512/files/marvel-comics-new-x-men-46-vf-nm-1200031499.jpg?v=1761615599
new-x-men-1-vf-nm
New X-Men #1 (VF/NM)

Grade: VF/NM

Note: Stock Image

Issue Number: 1

Story Title: Choosing Sides, Part 1: Here Is The House

Release Date: 2007-05-19

Publisher: Marvel

Writer: Christina Weir, Nunzio DeFilippis

Artist: Dave Sharpe, Peter Pantazis, Randy Green, Rick Ketcham

New X-Men #1 is a comic book released in 2007.
