She stamped her feet & sucked her thumb as explosive balls of energy burst out of her chest setting the grass on fire & accidentally damaging the Smartship Friday. Gee decided to float his little sister into the air to stop any more destruction, but as he hadn't mastered his own gravity powers Lightspeed was forced to fly up & fetch them. This all left Mass Master on the ground to try & put out the grass fire. He tried to smother the fire with his cloudy particles. However, as he grew closer to the fire, his particles grew close together again. When the heat started to burn his naked falling body, his instinctively dispersed particles again. The sudden movement on a molecular level created a vaccuum that put the fire out with a loud 'fwooom'. He was pulling his clothes on when the others returned. Energizer had calmed down and was forced to acknowledge the damage her tantrum had done to Friday. She hugged the Smartship who had grown arms to begin the repairs to her circuits. Friday wouldn't be able to transport the children until after noon, because of the damaged circuits. However, Power Pack had an urgent mission to stop Mr Carmody from activating the Anti-Matter converter after dawn. Energizer began to tease Mass Master that he'd be naked because of how his clothes fall through his cloudy form. Therefore, Friday provided them with a map to their father's lab & individual costumes made of Unstable Molecules. They were all excited by their new outfits, except for Mass Master who insisted that they were too 'sissy'. Friday then offered them some of Whiety's favourite food, which the children turned away mistaking it for blue sawdust. Power Pack flew off into the night. Gee used his powers to cancel Energizer's weight, while Lightspeed provided the propulsion & Mass Master gave them cloudy cover from the streets below. However, it had been several hours since the Snarks had kidnapped them & they were so hungry that they considered the morality of stealing food. Meanwhile, miles above the Earth the Snark cruiser continued to roll & tumble uncontrollably. They were desperately trying to repair the gyroscope that Energizer had disintegrated. On the top deck of the cruiser, Snark scientists were using Snark technology to extract details of the Anti-Matter converter out of Doctor Power's unconscious mind. They were determined to gain the information so they could use it as a weapon to destroy worlds. However, even unconscious & powerless Doctor Power's mind was still too resistant for the Snark's probes. The cruiser finally regained it's balance. Meanwhile, Power Pack had finally located the site of their father's lab. Unfortunately, as they set foot on the roof of the nearest building they accidentally set off an alarm. Therefore they laid an ambush for the security guards who rushed up to investigate. Mass Master provided a thick misty cover, while Gee amplified his own weight to knock them out of the doorway. In the confusion, Power Pack locked themselves in the building. However, they'd picked up the guards' walkie talkie & Mr Carmody was calling for a report. Mass Master tried to mimic Han Solo from Star Wars by pretending that it was a technical malfunction. This only angered Carmody further, so Energizer disintegrated the walkie talkie. They then began to sneak through the building, but had to hide from all the security guards. Mass Master could slip through the cracks under doorways and unlock them from the other side, while Gee & Lightspeed could fly them out of the window. This began to rattle the guards who started rumours of poltergeist activity. Eventually Power Pack found themselves floating outside of Carmody's office window. They overheard him describe their father as a 'hippy' and confess that he had intended to use the Anti-Matter converter as a weapon. Convinced that he was a true villain, Mass Master slipped through the cracks in the window and solidify behind Carmody's desk. There, he managed to steal Carmody's ham sandwich & drink, but it smashed on the floor when he turned back into a cloud. The others teased him about his failure as they floated away. Gee commanded them to float as high as possible to get a better view of the entire complex; from there they could spot the building that was most heavily guarded, which would be the lab that contained the Anti-Matter converter. From there, they could fly to the highest window & Energizer could disintegrate the glass while Mass Master hid them from the guards below. Back inside the Snark cruiser, the Snark scientists argued over how much pressure to apply to Doctor Power's mind. If they used too much pressure then they might permanently damage his mind. However, they feared the wrath of their Queen Mother more, and therefore increased the mind probe. However, having finally broken into the laboratory, Power Pack were stunned by the sheer size of the Anti-Matter converter. Energizer offered to disintegrate as much as possible, but Gee admitted that they didn't know which were the vital components. Lightspeed thought of Whitey who had died as he'd passed his powers onto them in order to save the Earth from this machine, but Mass Master pointed out that they were just kids. Having recomposed themselves, they decided that they had to try something. Racing across to the machine, Energizer accidentally tripped an alarm. With noise ringing through the air, Gee tried to nullify the weight of the converter. However, Lightspeed noticed that the machine was bolted to the floor. Energizer began to disintegrate the bolts while Lightspeed & Mass Master ran to the door to slow down any security who arrived. Unfortunately, they leant their weight against the door without realising it was a sliding door. When it opened to a couple of security guards lead by a furious Mr Carmody, they fell backwards landing at their feet. Instantly, Carmody gave the command to kill the children. However, Lightspeed & Mass master instantly used their powers to escape & attack. Lightspeed would steal their guns & knock over the guards who were blinded by Mass Master's cloud cover. Meanwhile, Energizer had only one bolt left to disintegrate. She'd discovered that she couldn't absorb any more energy. Just as Gee instructed her to blow a hole in the wall, Carmody grabbed her from behind. Despite being startled that she was glowing, he held tightly on to her. Energizer panicked, called for her sister and sent explosive energy flying everywhere. She'd successfully managed to create a massive hole in the wall large enough to fit the converter through, but Carmody still held onto her. Lightspeed snatched her away, scolding her sister for nearly disintegrating him. Since she had drained her energy store, Energizer was able to destroy the final bolt & climbed on top of the machine while Gee gradually pushed it off the ground. Power Pack successfully flew through the giant hole in the wall with the Anti-Matter converter. Mass Master scoffed that they were safe under his cloudy cover, but secretly thought that his own power was a 'total waste'. Down below, Carmody ordered his security to call the Air Force for help. However, his own guards had given up accepting that nobody would believe their claims. Frustrated, Carmody discovered that his personal stash of candy bars had disappeared from his jacket pocket. As they flew over the forest, the wind began to whip around the Anti-Matter converter. While Gee could easily lift the machine, he couldn't keep it's balance. Therefore the Anti-Matter converter slipped out of his grip, regained it's full weight & crashed onto the ground, smashing into irreparable pieces. They considered whether their father would be angry, to which Mass Master joked that he'd blame it on Energizer who never got into trouble for breaking things at home. To add to their joy, Lightspeed revealed that she had the candy bards that had fallen out of Carmody's jacket pocket when she saved Energizer earlier. However, Carmody had heard the girls call each other by their Christian names. He had already begun to deduce that they weren't aliens or poltergeists, but were in fact his employee's children. Yet he wrongly assumed that they had gained their powers through an X-Gene based mutation. Much later that day the Snarks had finally managed to secure the location of the lab from Dr Power's mind. Unfortunately for them, they discovered the remains of the machine on the forest floor. Angered, they grew even more determined to capture Power Pack & present them to their Queen as a gift.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1064/5512/files/marvel-comics-power-pack-2-newsstand-1194869671.jpg?v=1758916428
xd0-power-pack-3
Power Pack #3 (Newsstand)

Grade: VF
Issue Number: 3
Release Date: N/A
Writer:
Artist:

Mass Master complained that he couldn't eat candy bars while using his cloudy powers. He was providing cover for the rest of Power Pack, who were munching on the stolen candy as they flew back to find the Smartship Friday. They needed Friday to locate the Snark cruiser, from which they needed to liberate their unconscious parents. As they flew through the air, Energizer discovered that one of her front baby teeth had become loose. Meanwhile, the Snark cruiser had located Friday before Power Pack. Since Friday was still repairing herself from the damage that Energizer accidentally caused (in the previous issue), the Snarks were able to catch her in a tractor beam. They were satisfied with their unprecedented success at capturing a Kymellian Smartship for the first time in Snark history. They already suspected that Power Pack were using the clouds to cover their movements, and decided to lay in wait for the children. Power Pack continued to search for Friday, unaware that she had been captured. They bickered amongst themselves as they suspected they were lost & realised that they'd lost the map that Friday had provided for them. Hungry and confused, they decided that it would be best to return home. That way, they could let the Snark cruiser come to them and therefore speed up their plans to rescue their parents. However, they weren't expecting to find their home completely destroyed. Mass Master paused over the sandy beach where the Snarks had tried to kill him, Lightspeed quietly mourned her books with lazer holes blasted through them, while Gee cradled the melted remains of his telescope. Inside the house was just as bad, and they struggled to find anything to eat. Energizer burst into tears, demanding to see her mommy until Lightspeed calmed her down with an apple to help loosen her front tooth. Yet she had only just started to eat it when the whole house began to shake, announcing the arrival of the Snark cruiser. Believing they had the element of surprise, Power Pack quickly devised a plan to attack the Snarks. They were over-confident from their success the previous night. After all, they had beaten the Snarks when they didn't even know how to use their new-found super-powers. Power Pack believed that with more knowledge of their own powers that they would be able to defeat the Snarks easily. However, the Snarks had prepared for their next attack. They sent out single-manned shuttles armed with large nets. Gee floated up into the air with the family car. He managed to drop the vehicle on top of the cruiser's bridge, but the subsequent explosion knocked him unconscious and the Snarks caught him as he fell through the air. Energizer tried to run away, but was easily scooped up. She soon discovered that the netting was resistant to her powers. She couldn't disintegrate the net and it absorbed some of the energy from her powerful explosive attack. However, the bolts of energy did still manage to slip throuh the air, and she managed to knock another hole into the cruiser, thus providing Lightspeed an entry to try and find her parents. However, she entered in through the landing bay where Friday was being held. Distracted by Friday's presence, Lightspeed didn't look where she was flying, and knocked herself unconscious by flying into a closed door. The three captured siblings were soon bound in the same neuro-fibers that kept their parents unconscious. Still in his cloudy form, Mass Master observed what was happening. He overheard the Snark Queen Mother as she commanded the Snarks to keep the Power family unconscious during their return flight. Mass Master noticed that he could understand the Snark conversation, and realised that it must be a side effect from wearing the Kymellian costumes. He began to wonder how he could enter the cruiser unnoticed, when garbage began to fall through him. Therefore he flew up through the garbage disposal hatch where he reformed and collapsed from exhaustion. He woke when more rubbish began to bounce off his head. He didn't have much time to wonder how he was going to save his family as he dispersed his molecules through the open hatch and flew into the air vents. Luckily, he quickly found the room where Energizer, Gee & Lightspeed were kept unconscious on shelves. Mass Master had secretly hated his powers as he was left unable to touch anything, however he was about to discover a new aspect to his power over his molecules. As he landed on the top shelf, the bracket creaked & snapped. The unconscious & wrapped body fell onto the floor, while Mass Master landed on the next shelf. The noise brought Snark guards rushing into the room. Without enough time to disperse his molecules back through the air vent, Mass Master managed to tighten his particles making himself shrink. Although he was small, he still retained his same weight, causing the second shelf to collapse. Falling through the air, the tiny Mass Master landed on a Snark's nose, knocking it unconscious. Mass Master grew confident, believing himself to be super strong and therefore taunted the remaining Snark guard. Seeing the tiny boy, the Snark tried to step on Mass Master. Although he didn't feel any pain from being stamped on, Mass Master was unable to move the Snark's foot and therefore realised that he wasn't super strong. Instead, he grew back to his regular size, forcing the Snark to fall backwards and knocked it unconscious against the wall. Mass Master began to unravel his brother & sisters. However, it was a slow process with only one pair of clippers, and it took roughly ten minutes for the effects of the neuro-fibres to wear off. Lightspeed used a loose strand of neuro-fibre as a make-shift sling to support her arm, which she'd broken during her crash in the docking bay. Mass Master used the other fibres to tie the Snark guards up. When asked how he defeated them, he demonstrated his new-found ability to shrink. This frustrated Energizer who tried to pick him up like a doll, but discovered that she couldn't lift him since he was the same weight as before. Just as they were about to start arguing, Lightspeed diffused the situation by pulling an apple & a handful of sweets out of her pocket. Energizer bit into her second apple when mass Master recalled the Queen Mother's instructions to rendezvous with the mothership, and the deadline was rapidly approaching. If the Snark cruiser docked with the mothership, then Power Pack would never be able to escape. Unnerved by the news, Energizer disintegrated the apple instead of eating it, and the team fly off to find their parents. However, they were soon cornered by Snark guards on patrol. Therefore they flew up to hide among the pipes above the corridor. As they hid, Energizer wiggled her loose tooth some more & pondered on whether the tooth fairy could find her in space.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1064/5512/files/marvel-comics-power-pack-3-newsstand-1194869670.jpg?v=1758916425
uaz-power-pack-4
Power Pack #4 (Newsstand)

Grade: VF
Issue Number: 4
Release Date: N/A
Writer:
Artist:

In space above the Earth's atmosphere, the Snarks fought amongst themselves at the news that Power Pack had escaped their cell. They weren't aware that the children were hiding in the ceiling pipes in a dark smoky corridor. Although Gee negated his & Energizer's weight, the pipes couldn't continue to hold Lightspeed's full weight. As she fell, she knocked the laser out of a Snark guard's hands. However, he grabbed her around her broken wrist and the pain caused her to faint. Mass Master shrunk down and landed on the Snark's head knocking it out & freeing his sister. So Gee carried Lightspeed as he ran down the corridor. Energizer disintegrated the laser gun which Mass Master complained about as he could've used it offensively, instead of having to defensively hide everyone in his cloudy form. Power Pack ran into an elevator, but the Snark's laser fire caught Gee on his left shoulder. They pressed to travel up to he op floor, believing their parents were somewhere up there. However, the Snark guards radioed up to the bridge warning the others. Inside the elevator, Lightspeed regained consciousness. Gee didn't seem too bothered by his wound and they were all distracted by Energizer who managed to pluck out her loose front tooth. This nearly caused an argument when Mass Master insisted that only babies still believed in the tooth fairy, but they were interrupted by a Snark attack when the elevator doors opened. Startled, Energizer dropped her tooth and began firing off explosives in a panic. The largest power ball struck the bridge's control panel causing the whole cruiser to shake. Everyone was knocked off their feet, but Energizer began to melt the elevator floor underneath her. Lightspeed flew down to catch her sister, but Energizer fired off more power balls as she fell. One shoot back up through the hole she'd created and hit the roof of he elevator cabin, severing it from the cable and causing it to plummet downwards. Gee could cancel the weight of the elevator, but couldn't stop the downward momentum. The girls managed to fly into a hole that had been blasted into the side of the elevator shaft, while the boys slowly crashed on the bottom level. The Snark Queen Mother was severely displeased with the report that Power Pack had escaped and were destroying the cruise. She commanded that they were to be caught within the same tractor beam that previously held the Smartship Friday captive. Therefore the Snarks stepped up their attacks upon Power Pack and aimed the tractor beam down the elevator shaft. Gee & Mass Master were caught & lifted up in the beam, while Energizer & Lightspeed disappeared down the ventilation shafts. Mass Master managed to escape from the tractor beam by dispersing his molecules. However, this caused him to drop Energizer's lost baby tooth. Gee managed to get a foot hold on the wall, and therefore anchored himself there against the strain of the tractor beam. Up on the top floor, the girls managed to climb down from the ventilation shaft, but were surprised by a couple of Snark guards on patrol. Instinctively, Lighspeed flew pushing the gun out of one guard's hand. Energizer panicked again, sending a power ball at the other guard's gun. Scared by the surprise attack, the Snark guards ran away calling for reinforcements, which made the girls laugh since they'd only acted on instinct. They then quickly found their parents, but without Gee to make them weightless they couldn't carry the unconscious bodies. Therefore Enegizer began to disintegrate the floor beneath them. Back down below in the docking bay, the Snarks were having trouble moving Gee with the tractor beam. He'd remained anchored to the wall, fighting the beam with his gravity powers. Mass Master reformed his molcules and he shrunk down landing on the Snark who was controlling the tractor beam. Having saved his brother, Mass Master then turned the tractor beam on the remaining Snarks while Gee struggled to de-activate the machine that held Friday captive. Therefore he grabbed onto a single-piloted snark flier and threw it down onto the machine. With the machine broken, Friday was free. Just at that moment, a patch of the ceiling began to melt. Energizer & Lighspeed peeked down through the hole. Mass Master povided more cloud cover, while Gee quickly carried his parents & Energizer down to Friday. They were waiting for Mass Master to join them inside Friday, but he reformed on the floor outside to pick up Energizer's tooth before racing back to safety. However, they were still moments away from docking with the Snark mothership. With only minutes to spare, Gee turned to Energizer asking her to create just one power ball with all her focussed energy to create a hole in the hull big enough for Friday to fit though. She gave it her best shot, and Friday managed to fly safely through the explosive decompression. The Snarks managed to put up an emergency shield quick enough to stop themselves from being sucked into space, but not in time to stop Friday from escaping. As Friday flew away from the Snarks, the Queen Mother gave the command to capture them in another tractor beam. Friday was quickly caught, and the kids began to worry what to do. In an effort to cheer up his little sister, Mass Master presented Energizer with her lost tooth. Just as she smiled, an explosion was heard from the Snark mothership. The Kymellian cavalry had arrived! Smartships darted around the Snark mothership, giving Friday time to escape. All the kids looked back to see the fight, except for Energizer who was dazzled by sparkling lights in front of Friday. Suddenly an older Kymellian appeared in space. He introduced himself as Byrel, and expressed a wish to talk with Power Pack before they had flown out of reach. The kids quickly explained why Whitey had broken Kymellian law to save them, their parents & the Earth. This pleased Byrel, who was proud of their brave actions. He explained that as the Snarks had attacked first (creating an intergalactic incident), Whitey's unprecedented actions were forgivable. Byrel then moved through Friday's hull, and spoke to the children directly. He added that Whitey was his only son, and that he considered Power Pack to be the grandchildren he would never have. This made the kids so happy. They gathered around him to hod their new grandfather. He was sad that he wouldn't have any reminder of them, so Energizer gave him her precious baby tooth that she had been saving for the Tooth Fairy. Byrel smiled, calling the tooth a 'treasure beyond price' and disappeared in the same sparkling light that he'd arrived in. As they flew back to Earth, Mass Master asked Friday why they couldn't unwrap the neuro-fibres off their parents. However, Friday was concerned that two awake adults would require extra resources and room that Friday didn't have. Although he accepted this answer, Mass Master still grumbled about being hungry. Friday offered them the same blue saw-dust looking substance that Whitey used to eat. Energizer jumped at the chance to eat Kymellian food. But she was distracted by a clink underneath her pillow. Upon closer inspection, she'd received a large gold coin with her new grandfather's head stamped on one side. Mass Master was impressed that the Tooth Fairy really had found Energizer & given her something so amazing. But Energizer reminded him that was because he'd never really believed in the the Tooth Fairy.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1064/5512/files/marvel-comics-power-pack-4-newsstand-1194869669.jpg?v=1758916323
ch9-power-pack-5
Power Pack #5 (Newsstand)

Grade: VF
Issue Number: 5
Release Date: N/A
Writer:
Artist:

Power Pack return to Earth with their parents. Professor Gilbert explains that Dragon Man is a slave to the controller than causes him pain and erases his free will. Julie suggests that Gilbert might be able to construct a device that would interfere with the controller with the left-over electronic equipment in the room. He does, and Dragon Man regains his free will. The team escapes from the cartel's headquarters and heads to the Seaport, where Cloak is being forced to provide "protection" for a drug delivery. In the ensuing fight, Jack knocks Diangelo, the leader of the cartel, from the top of a building and nearly kills him. Synopsis Out at sea, a fishing vessel has caught a large… something. After hauling it in, a huge serpent breaks free and the crew falls asleep under its gaze. The captain is also a victim, but he hits the foghorn as collapses and the tone of the horn puts the serpent to sleep. Weeks later, the Power children are preparing for a night out with their friend, Friday, a sentient Kymellian spaceship. They meet in the park and Alex muses on the odd happenings in the papers. One might even look so far as the local aquarium that has become home to an odd sea serpent. Friday notes the serpent and remarks that it looks a lot like a Xanthian Boulder Crusher. Friday explains that the Boulder Crushers gaze can put its prey to sleep while it eats. With that, Friday then retires for the night at the bottom of the Hudson River. The next day, the Power kids meet their grandpa and reluctantly head to the aquarium. On the train, Katie tries to learn how to play her grandpa’s oboe with little luck. At the aquarium, the Power kids see the sea serpent that is still in its deep sleep. It being less-than interesting, the kids move to the submarine exhibit. There they find Friday hiding. The Right Pitch Back at the sea serpent tank (which is not enclosed), Katie resumes her practice of the oboe. A certain note seems to wake the serpent and it immediately begins putting people to sleep with its gaze. Acting quickly, the Power Pack removes any potential victims before attempting to deal with the sea serpent, which they have reason to believe is the aforementioned Xanthian Boulder Crusher. Head-on attack is futile, as the serpent is either too strong or two fast. The kids come up with a plan. Heading to the submarine exhibit, the Power Pack plans on using one of the shiny subs on the serpent in hopes that seeing its reflections will cause it to fall under its own sleep spell. Katie disintegrates a piece of the sub. Upon encountering the serpent again, both Jack and Katie get a full blast from the serpent and fall asleep. Friday shows up and explains how Boulder Crushers are immune to their spells. The mirror idea futile, Alex and Julie then degravitize the monster and whip him out to sea. Back at the aquarium, Alex and Julie meet Marrina. She is on a mission to stop the serpent (it having previously attacked her) and Alex volunteers the aid of the Power Pack. They have the rescued kitten with them; their mother is allergic and they can't keep it. When they enter the sewers, they are almost immediately brought down by the Morlocks, who have been waiting for them to return. They explain that they know all about the Powers from their schoolbooks. The Morlocks plan to erase the children's memories and keep them in the sewers forever so AnnaLee, another Morlock who has recently lost her own children, can adopt them. AnnaLee is an empath who projects her feelings to those around her. As a result, she is forced to stay with Leech, a young mutant who disables others' powers, to keep her ability under control. Since Leech is close by at all time, the Power kids cannot use their abilities to escape. Kitty Pryde and Nightcrawler, who are visiting the Morlocks, catch a glimpse of the Powers being transported through the underground. They follow and discover that the children are not Morlocks, and have been kidnapped. Julie takes the kitten - which has found a home with Leech - and flies off with it into the sewers to draw Leech away from the battle. Leech explains AnnaLee's story, including the loss of her children. Julie returns to the battle and reveals the story to everyone else. Alex uses his gravity powers to pull both Alison and Johnny off the sled. He reconciles with Alison. Johnny, who is angry at being rejected, throws snow in Alison's face, hurting her. Katie goes so far as to try to disintegrate air, but it only makes her suffocate. Jakal, who is badly scarred and injured from Katie's power ball attack (issue #17), is revived. As soon as he is conscious, he attempts to attack Katie in her crystal. Katie, meanwhile, believes that she is a monster because she has hurt Jakal so badly. When they arrive on SnarkWorld, the Powers are moved, in their crystals, to a power transfer room. They are joined by their Kymellian cousin Kofi, who has also been captured. She subsequently breaks everyone else's crystals with a power ball. Julie and Alex argue about Alex's poor treatment of Katie as they battle the Snarks. Franklin, in his dreamself, finds the Pack in the Emperor's throne room, They implore him to save the Emperor to stop the Snark Wars - the war of succession after the death of an emperor - from beginning. She tells Jakal that he is welcome to have her power, since all it does is make people treat her like a gun - to point at things and kill them. Alex, hiding with his siblings in the nearby air vent, finally realizes how harshly he has treated Katie. Alex, Julie and Jack find Katie unconscious in the power transfer chamber. They save her from Jakal, who now has energy powers. Alex apologizes to Katie, reassures her that she is not a monster, and tells her that their powers made *him* into the monster. Julie receives the cloud power; Jack gets gravity, Katie has flight, and Alex has the energy power. As Jakal lays dying, he reveals that Bhashda was poisoned by Maraud. A bright light in the sky attracts her attention, and she finds herself teleporting into a trap set by Power Pack's nemesis, Carmody. He is still working as the Bogeyman (see issues #14 - #15) and he is still selling mutant children to the highest bidder. Rebecca is his newest quarry, and he captures her and flies her back to his headquarters. Power Pack chases him, but cannot catch up and save Rebecca. Jim and Maggie Power are surprisingly calm at both Kofi's appearance and the kids' request to take off for outer space. The Pack is disappointed by New Kymellia, which is an artificial Moebius strip that resembles an intergalactic shopping mall. They meet New Kymellia's team of superheroes, Force Four, and are forced into a mock-battle with them by Kymellians who feel that they need to train Power Pack to use their abilities.
