Plot Summary Prisons and Other Cages Goldface has brought all the east coast crime bosses to LA for a meeting. He proposes they form a group to take down HIVE, the torn in all their sides. When questioned why he should be the new mafia leader, Goldface reveals he has captured Green Lantern. After hearing Goldface's plan, Green Lantern breaks out of his yellow cell, by heating up the air until the cell explodes. Green Lantern and Goldface fight until Green Lantern gets the upper hand and traps Goldface. That is when the LA police arrive but they arrest Green Lantern for breaking into Goldface's mansion and take the hero away in cuffs. Elsewhere, Carol deals with her father taking over Ferris Aircraft, but she can't mope too long, because she gets the message that Green Lantern has been arrested. Carol and Tom head to the station just in time to see the police take Green Lantern's ring and put him in a cell with Black Hand, which was all part of Goldface and Jason Bloch's plan to destroy Green Lantern and take over Ferris Aircraft. The Shadow Children When Adam Strange returns to Rann he finds himself trapped in a black blob, that drains his jet pack and starts to devour his equipment. It looks like he is doomed until Alanna shows up and rescues her lover. Alanna and Sardath then explain to the returning hero that the blob is actually the eggs of the Shadow Crawler that Adam thought he had destroyed a week ago before he teleported back to Earth. Adam learns that the eggs are like the Shadow Crawler, in that they devour everything they can, but they are intelligent. This gives Adam a idea and he leads them to a fleet of ships attacking Rann, and the eggs eat the invaders ship. This gives them enough energy to hatch and leave Rann thanking Adam for taking care of them.
