Elizabeth Twoyoungmen, the Talisman, undergoes a vision quest so she can better be prepared to battle against Llan the Sorcerer. The visions lead her to the past, to a time when another woman named Nahita, bearing the mantle of Talisman, defeated Llan the Sorcerer. This past version of Talisman was aided by a group of ancient heroes named the Tribe of the Moon, whose members consisted of Talks-To-Spirits, Firehand, Bear Brother and Willow-Dancer. Llan interrupts her visions, but Elizabeth forges on, learning the secret behind defeating Llan.
