As Clark Kent and Lois Lane move into their new apartment, Clark reminisces about his times in Smallville. In particular, his memories turn to Kenny Braverman, a friend who always came in second behind Clark. Little does Clark know that Kenny has now become the super-villain Conduit, and is gunning for Clark. Clark has won a Baldy Award, and Conduit has set up a bomb at the awards ceremony. Luckily, Superman has come in to save the day, rescuing everyone at the awards. Superman defeats Conduit’s agents that continue the assault, but does not discover who is behind the attempt on Clark’s life. When Clark returns to his apartment, he finds his photo with a knife through it attached to his door.
