Meanwhile, Guy Gardner gets wind of the events going on in Russia and decides to take matters into his own hands!Notes"Meanwhile..." one page text piece by Dick Giordano. It was mentioned that Who's Who would be an annual feature, but it was only issued in 1987, 1988, 1990 and 1993. Plus, John Byrne was suppose to have been working on a Superman Who's Who which never materialized.Rocket Reds #1 - #6 appears.Hal Jordan, Arisia, Ch'P and Salaak meet with President Ronald Reagan in the White House, while John Stewart, Katma Tui, Kilowog and Red Rocket meet with Mikhail Gorbachev in Russia. Reagan tries to apologize for the executive order to stop all superhuman actives, an action that happened in Legends story arc. Hal and Arisia excepts the apology but Ch'p explains that as an alien in America and he has no loyalty, the remark only heightens tensions. Meanwhile in Russia, John and Katma Tui accuse Gorbachev and Russia mistreating people but the president's response is they are no better or worse than America. After the Green Lanterns and Red rocket leave, Gorbachev orders the secret assassination of John and Katma Tui.Back in America, Hal and his team find Guy Gardner in the Green Lantern Citadel. A fight breaks out and tensions are only cooled when Kari Limbo show up to talk to Guy. She explains that he can't go through with his plan of attacking Russia, which Guy does any way. In Russia, without Kilowog and Josef's knowledge a Red Rocket Brigade attacks, knockout and captures John and Katma, with the plan to wait a 24 hours, and kill them when their rings run out of protective power. Kilowog and Josef look for his teammates but are running into dead ends. Their search is cut short when Guy attacks Russia airspace, and both Russia and America go to Red Alert and arm their nuclear missiles.
